"Chasing Faster" A NASCAR Documentary Film

In 2022 our team was able to attend the Daytona 500 and film with Joe Gibbs racing in service of our documentary "Chasing Faster". I was blessed to be able to executive produce and direct this film and together with my other creators David Hamilton and Max Prince we created a film that dove deep into the world of NASCAR focusing in on the unsung hero's of the Pits. Below are a few images from the making of this film as well as little more documentation on how it was made.

The process began as a pitch to the WinShape Teams group to create a sequel in their series of "Teams Made Well". Throughout the process we kept the goals of both the organization and our group top of mind as we built connection inside of JGR and created the storyline.

Getting to interview Joe Gibbs was one of the Highlights of my career as he was so thoughtful and knowledgeable as well as being an interviewer's dream!

Throughout the project we created a series of "character films" to help understand who the people involved were and to uncover how their individual stories would look before we put the whole thing together. One of our favorites that got left on the cutting room floor was Ray Hernandez.

The project wrapped with a release party and screening at WinShape Teams Campus.
